BEETLES – COLEOPTERA

When one sees beetles in the course of normal day, they all look the same. But a closer observation reveals such biodiversity that it can put your mind in a tailspin. I wonder why I spent most of my life seeing these “dark specks” on the leaves of plants with amor-like wings and saying, “Oh, there is some kind of beetle” and leaving it at that. I don’t “leave it at that” anymore. I take it a step farther and try to learn what it is and why and how it exists.
